Blue Lake
貝貝刻意安排假期要陪我上山走走，就挑個Brainard Lake Recreation Area區內的高山湖走走吧，幸運的話說不定還可看到駝鹿(Moose)呢！

Mitchell Lake：海拔10,656呎/3,248公尺
Blue Lake：海拔11,348呎/3,459公尺

行車資訊：
CO 72號公路(Peak To Peak)北行，經過小鎮Ward後路右就可看到一面大指示牌指向西邊標明“Brainard Lake”，順著指示牌左轉沿Brainard Lake Road行約2.6哩/4.2公里抵達收費站，驗明預約許可證後進入Recreation Area續行，我們今天本要申請Mitchell Lake Trailhead的停車場，但因申請不上所以改申請Brainard Lake Picnic Site/Trailhead - Day Use Parking；車子過了收費站行不多遠在剛過Red Rock Lake即在路邊看到一隻雌性駝鹿(cow moose)，但該Cow moose看起來還未成年，個子不大；

停車拍照後車子再行約2.0哩/3.2公里抵達Brainard Lake 停車場停車，座標40° 04' 42.6" -105° 34' 15.2"，海拔10,230呎/3,118公尺。
步程簡述：
07:50 由Brainard Lake停車場出發，先到附近的Brainard Lake拍照後沿著Brainard Lake北岸朝Mitchell Lake Trailhead西行。

08:05 抵路右一登山步道，步道口有一往“Mitchell Lake Trailhead”的指示牌，右轉沿該步道在林中往Mitchell Lake Trailhead朝西北行。

08:16 抵達Mitchell Lake停車場，如果能申請到此停車場停車可省下0.8哩/1.3公里的路程。
08:19 由Mitchell Lake Trailhead出發，步道口標示：Mitchell Lake 1哩；Blue Lake 3哩；

登山步道在雲杉、冷杉林間穿行，行來舒爽。
08:33 經過一座橫跨在Mitchell Creek上的木橋，座標40° 05' 08.5" -105° 35' 18.2"，海拔10,535呎/3,211公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot 約1.3哩/2.1公里；

過了Mitchell Creek 隨即進入Indian Peaks Wilderness 範圍，步道仍在山林間穿行。
08:49 來到Mitchell Lake岔路，座標40° 05' 11.4" -105° 35' 39.6"，海拔10,650呎/3,246公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot約2.8哩/1.74公里；

左岔直行往Blue Lake，右岔往Mitchell Lake湖邊；先取右到Mitchell Lake湖邊賞景拍照。
Mitchell Lake海拔10,656呎/3,248公尺， 湖的西北邊是科羅拉多的一座13ers--Mount Audubon，海拔13,221呎/4,030公尺，此山我曾三度登頂，在湖邊停留10分鐘拍完照後回到步道岔路續往Blue Lake前行。

09:09 抵達Mitchell Lake的進水口小溪，座標40° 05' 10.1" -105° 35' 51.5"，海拔10,735呎/3,272公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot約1.99哩/3.2公里；

經過進水口小溪上的木橋後來到一處亂石區；

由亂石區底下穿過後步道開始朝西陡升。
09:21 陡升步道頂端地形轉為平緩地形，座標40° 05' 11.4" -105° 36' 01.1"，海拔10,846呎/3,306公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot約2.17哩/3.5公里；

在高點回頭俯瞰Mitchell Lake；在此小休後再行，步道緩平西行，兩旁陸續出現沼澤、小湖泊，沼澤野花盛開。

09:25 步道又開始陡升，座標40° 05' 13.3" -105° 36' 08.8"，海拔10,863呎/3,311公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot約2.3哩/3.7公里。

09:31 再度抵達地形轉為平緩山徑，此處已進入山谷上游，座標40° 05' 09.9" -105° 36' 14.9"，海拔10,965呎/3,342公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot約2.42哩/3.9公里；

路徑旁除了沼澤區、小湖邊野花盛開外，山徑慢慢轉為多岩石地形，步道就在岩石間小徑緩坡爬升。

09:56 出森林線，座標40° 05' 04.6" -105° 36' 42.8"，海拔11,105呎/3,385公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot約2.92哩/4.7公里；山徑又轉為有點陡的陡坡朝Blue Lake爬升。

10:07 步道左側不遠處是Blue Lake出水口，形成一座小流瀑，周圍一片雪原尚未融化。

10:27 抵達Blue Lake，座標40° 05' 18.4" -105° 37' 01.4"，海拔11,348呎/3,459公尺，距Brainard Lake Parking Lot約3.42哩/5.5公里；

尖塔狀的Mount Toll(海拔12,979呎/3,956公尺)矗立在湖的西岸，北岸是海拔13,221呎/4,030公尺的Mount Audubon，南岸則是海拔12,943 呎/3,945公尺的Pawnee Peak；

這美麗的高山湖泊就寧靜的躺在這群山的懷抱裡，我們在湖邊休息、吃點乾糧隨即下山。

13:23 返抵Brainard Lake Parking Lot，整裝後開車返家。
