Maryland Mountain山頂西南望數座四千公尺高山
今天參加丹佛華人假日登山隊去賭城Central City & Black Hawk附近的Maryland Mountain Hidden Treasure Trailhead登山，我們預計經由Historic Gilpin Tramway攀登海拔9,210呎/2,807公尺的Maryland Mountain，然後採逆時鐘方向沿Easy Money下山走一個環形O走，領隊的登山通知約定08:15在登山口集合。

登山口：Maryland Mountain Hidden Treasure Trailhead，海拔8,205呎/2,500公尺
登山里程：往返一個Loop合計8.5公里(AllTrails記錄航跡6.1哩/9.8公里，我們下山途中為避開mountain bikes而取捷徑下山)
總爬升高度：330公尺
登山時間：往返一個Loop費時4小時

行車資訊：
由丹佛開車沿I-70 州際公路往Golden西行，行至Exit 265出口下交流道改走CO-58 W公路繼續西行，CO-58 W公路西行4.7哩後接上US-6 W公路，繼續直走US-6 W公路西行；車子沿著US-6 W (Clear Creek Canyon Road)在Clear Creek北岸西行11.5哩後繼續直行走CO-119往Central City & Black Hawk朝西北行，CO-119西北行約8.1哩在經過Central City和Black Hawk後隨即抵達在路右的Maryland Mountain Hidden Treasure Trailhead停車場，座標39° 48' 41.9" -105° 29' 48.2" ，海拔2505公尺。

步程簡述：
08:32 登山口出發；

先經由橫跨CO-119公路的行人、單車穿越陸橋到公路西邊；

再沿Historic Gilpin Tramway南行，Historic Gilpin Tramway是一條寬敞的舊車道，原是19 世紀科羅拉多州唯一的一條兩英尺的窄軌鐵路。

08:37 右側Millsite Trail 岔路不取，沿Historic Gilpin Tramway續南行，途中東南望Central City和Black Hawk 歷史街區。

08:47 Historic Gilpin Tramway南行約750公尺後遇右側Summit Hiking Trail 上山，座標39° 48' 20.4" -105° 29' 59.8"，海拔2,519公尺；

Summit Hiking Trail是一條真正的登山步道，直達山頂；此條登山步道上山距離約2公里，爬升約285公尺，這是條登山專用道路，禁止單車進入，在此條登山步道上登山客可以欣賞到Black Hawk的壯麗景色，也可以遠眺落磯山脈壯麗的西部景觀，在接近山頂時，它與Easy Money匯合，最後登上Maryland Mountain的山頂。
品菁領隊規劃今天登山係採逆時鐘方向進行，先陡上Maryland Mountain，登頂後續沿逆時鐘做一O形環走，如此避免下坡太陡傷膝蓋。取右岔Summit Hiking Trail上山，山徑是名符其實的登山小徑，有點陡但不難走。

09:08 山徑右側空地有一根鐵管，鐵管頂端鑲一枚不明水準點銅標，座標39° 48' 25.8" -105° 30' 05.7"，海拔2594公尺；

過了不明水準點後山徑繼續往山頂朝北盤升；

Western Wallflower
途中往南可遙望Squaw Pass上頭的Squaw和Chief Mountain，而Mount Blue Sky山塊僅能瞧見Gray Wolf Mountain的積雪山頭。

隨著高度的爬升在步道上朝東南俯瞰，Central City & Black Hawk 近在咫尺；

遙望西邊James Peak Range幾座積雪山頭；

而極目西南邊則可遙望前年才更名的Mount Blue Sky (原名Mount Evans)和Grays Peak、Torreys Peak三座14 ers。

Easy Money是一條很受歡迎的越野自行車(mountain bikes)爬坡路線，先取右朝Maryland Mountain山頂上行。

10:33 我們在山頂休息用餐，停留近半小時後循原路下山，下抵Easy Money和Summit Hiking Trail岔路時取右沿Easy Money下山；由Easy Money逆時鐘下山做一O形環走回到上山時的Summit Hiking Trail岔路約6公里，下降約350公尺。

下山途中遇到好多越野單車上山，一路停停讓讓，行進非常緩慢，這條步道是單車、登山兩用的步道，平常應該也沒這麼多的越野單車，聽說近日有一場單車越野賽，今天適逢假日，好多選手都來此練習，導致今天的登山步道大塞車，真是行不得也！

11:16 眼看越野單車如一條龍般由山下往上湧進，一波接著一波看不到有中斷的跡象，我們只好在一處髮夾彎處截彎取直，朝山下直接下切，免去避車等待之苦；

當然這也是不得已的做法，除去此法可能要走到晚上才能回到登山口了！

11:35 下切抵達山腳下Quartz Valley Trail & Easy Money 的岔路口取左沿Quartz Valley Trail往登山口東南行；

Quartz Valley Trail是一條寬敞的車道，兩旁除草原外不時有筆直的白楊木(aspen tree)，走來舒適宜人。

11:49 遇右岔路Chase Gulch Road 不取，取左岔Historic Gilpin Tramway朝登山口東行。
