Mount Evans(海拔4348公尺)-- 怡潔旅美D 3(2011.08.11)

今天是怡潔來美第三天，因為今晚要連夜開車到猶他州，所以不敢走太遠，豆豆又參加樂團練習，就帶著太座、怡潔和貝貝去欣賞一下Mount Evans的高山風景，也讓怡潔一圓登14ers(海拔14,000呎 / 4,267公尺以上的高山)的美夢！

Mt. Evans 標高 14264呎 ( 4347公尺 )，是科羅拉多州14ers中兩座可以開車上山的14ers(Pikes Peak & Mount Evans)之一，由丹佛沿70號州際公路向西行，車行約30哩由 Idaho Springs Exit 240 下高速公路，從Idaho Springs(8,700呎) 開始通到Mount Evans(14,130呎)山頂，長達28哩。該路可分兩段：第一段從Idaho springs 到 Echo Lake的103號公路，長14哩，全年開放；第二段從Echo Lake到山頂的14哩長的5號道路，從每年的Memorial day 開放到Labor day，但若天候不良如大雪、強風、路面結冰等狀況下，縱使是夏天，5號道路也是封閉或只開放到 Summit lake(距山頂上有5哩路)。

從山頂停車場往上走1/4哩即可抵達Mount Evans 的山頂，輕鬆檢得一顆14ers，比台灣檢百岳石門山還輕鬆，然後你可驕傲的向你朋友炫耀—“我在假日爬了一座14ers！”
